- Last month, the Conservative government announced a trade mission that will encompass the extractive resource industries and the infrastructure sector related to energy, power generation and mining.
Much of the renewed interest is due to Africa’s current and impressive economic growth rate.
But Sylvie Perras, Africa-Canada Forum coordinator at the Canadian Council for International Cooperation stresses that Canadian private sector strategies must be consistent with African development goals. /IPS
